Starting the Cost Benefit Analysis

We are excited to announce the launch of our Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) for the Flight Centric ATC concept, a key milestone in advancing air traffic management. The CBA officially kicked off with a successful meeting on 12 February 2025 in Prague. Following our previous project, where we conducted a broad-scale evaluation of the FCA concept across Europe, this new phase will focus on more granular, operational analysis in low and medium complexity airspaces.

By targeting these airspace environments, we aim to provide a detailed understanding of how the FCA concept performs in real-world, everyday operational scenarios. Our analysis will assess not only the direct benefits in terms of efficiency and cost savings but also its impact on safety, capacity, and controller workload. The findings from this study will help refine the implementation of the Flight Centric approach, providing actionable insights to improve air traffic management in both simple and more congested airspace regions.

We look forward to sharing our progress and results from this focused study, which will provide invaluable data for future operational deployment of the FCA concept
